A bioethanol fireplace burns liquid alcohol-based fuel in a purpose-designed burner, creating a real flame. The manual burners in our range do not need a traditional chimney, a gas connection or electricity to produce the flame.
The burner
The fuel sits in a burner reservoir; designs vary in capacity, flame control and absorbent insert. Always use the fuel type and fill level specified for your exact model. A quoted capacity does not mean the burner should be filled to the brim.
Atmosphere and supplementary warmth
Bioethanol fireplaces are decorative features that also give off heat. They are not intended to replace a home’s main heating. Fuel consumption and flame appearance vary with the model, fuel, ventilation and operation.
Ventilation still matters
A flue-free fireplace still needs suitable room ventilation. Follow the manufacturer’s minimum room-volume and installation requirements. Do not use it in an unsuitable enclosed space or expose the flame to draughts.

- Wall-mounted: a fixed wall feature.
- Freestanding: a statement piece on a suitable stable surface.
- Built-in: an insert for a planned non-combustible enclosure.
- Portal: a fireplace-style silhouette.
